According to reports, the makers are considering a release in the first week of December 2027. Raaka is expected to be heavily dependent on visual effects, large-scale action sequences, and extensive post-production work. Multiple international teams are reportedly involved, making it a far more complex production than a conventional commercial entertainer.
The proposed release window has also sparked discussion because of Allu Arjun’s recent track record. Both Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2 eventually arrived in December after undergoing delays and release-date changes, and both went on to become massive successes.
However, sentiment alone is unlikely to be the reason behind the reported release plan, which appears to be driven more by the scale of the production and the extensive work required after filming.
There may be another factor as well. While the film’s announcement generated huge curiosity, the recently released first-look poster did not create the level of buzz many expected from a combination as massive as Allu Arjun and Atlee. As a result, the team may be taking additional time to refine its promotional strategy and ensure future content creates a stronger impact among audiences.
Atlee is coming off the massive success of Jawan, while Allu Arjun’s market has expanded dramatically following the Pushpa franchise. Together, they are expected to deliver one of the biggest event films of the decade.
