Finally, the wait is over. The official announcement regarding legendary singer M.S. Subbulakshmi biopic is out. The film has now been titled M.S. Subbulakshmi – A Legacy on Screen. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as legendary singer M.S. Subbulakshmi in this upcoming biopic.
Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly completed screen test for the role and makers are said to be pleased with it. The film is being launched tomorrow, September 16, on the occasion of M.S. Subbulakshmi’s 110th birth anniversary. There is also buzz that Kamal Haasan may attend the event as the chief guest.
Rashmika playing M.S. Subbulakshmi has naturally become one of the talking points around the film. The actress has mostly been seen in commercial roles, while this one is a completely different setup for her.
Gowtam Tinnanuri is directing the film. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director, while Allu Aravind, Bunny Vasu and Rockline Venkatesh are producing the project. Further details are expected tomorrow.
