Manoj Bajpayee has again delivered a solid, hard-hitting film, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, on Zee5 recently. The film is gaining huge appreciation from all quarters for its compelling story, interesting screenplay, and above all, a towering performance by Manoj Bajpayee in the riveting climax.
Due to the great response to the film on OTT, the makers are now contemplating releasing the film in theaters now. If this happens, this will be the first time a film is released on OTT first and then in theaters.
This reverse strategy has a very slim chance of becoming successful. The film is already out on OTT for subscribers to watch for free. The pirated version is also out on various sites. So releasing the film in theaters now will only add extra expenses to the makers as its box office potential would have become very limited by now.
But these are only speculations, and there is no official announcement about Bandaa releasing in theaters. Maybe these rumors are intentionally circulated so as to increase the hype of the film and get more viewers to flock to see it on the OTT platform.
