A Telugu version of Shah Rukh Khan’s King could be in the works. A standee carrying Telugu text has reportedly appeared at a theatre, prompting speculation that the film may also release in Telugu. However, the makers are yet to make any official announcement.
A Telugu release would make sense for SRK, especially after the response to Pathaan and Jawan in the two Telugu states. Both films found an audience here, despite being Hindi productions. Dunki, on the other hand, did not get a Telugu release.
With King, Shah Rukh Khan has another big theatrical outing lined up for December 24. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film features a large ensemble cast and is already attracting attention. A Telugu version could help the film reach a wider audience, rather than depending only on its Hindi release.
For now, the Telugu standee is the only indication of a possible dubbed version. Until the makers confirm it, the release plans remain unclear.
