About a year ago, there was a news which created a lot of interest among the cine circles. A bilingual movie ‘Shivam’ was planned by director Krish with Mahesh Babu. And Bollywood stunning beauty ‘Dabangg’ fame Sonakshi Sinha was confirmed to make her South debut opposite Mahesh Babu.
Obviously the actress was elated to get a chance opposite ‘The Most Desirable Man’. However there are many reasons for which the enthusiastic project got shelved and Sonakshi missed a very big South debut. Nevertheless, Sonakshi turned very lucky to get the opportunity to star opposite none other than icon of Indian Cinema Rajnikanth for ‘Linga’.
Sonakshi is in awe of South Film Industry for the discipline and is hoping that Bollywood is as disciplined as in South. She is playing a role which is set in British era in 1940’s. Sonakshi would be sporting a Tamilian attire in pre-independence era. With this movie’s connection, Sonakshi feels like a South heroine now and her connection with South technicians like Prabhu Deva gave her opportunity to understand the South accent and in mouthing Tamil dialogues says the actress.
She is extremely happy for making her South debut with the superstar and absolutely has no apprehensions regarding being over shadowed by the image of Rajnikanth as she didn’t have that problem with Salman Khan when she made her Bollywood debut with ‘Dabangg’. Though Sonakshi Sinha missed Mahesh and Kamal Haasan for ‘Vishwaroopam’, the actress is all set to woo South audience with Rajni’s ‘Linga’. All the best lady!
