The first single ‘Simtaangaran’ from massively hyped Tamil film Sarkar is out. AR Rahman who previously gave the sensational Mersal composes music for Sarkar as well.
The releasing of a single is a style followed by everyone. It was the same case with Mersal, and the first single that came out was “Aalaporan Tamizhan”. The song sounded routing coming from AR Rahman, but it was an instant hit with the fans. The song ended up being a huge blockbuster and helped enormously in building hype on Mersal.
Unfortunately, Simtaangaran lacks the same impact. It certainly gets better with multiple listens, but the catchy beat and energy of the Mersal number are missing here. However, it offers enough cues musically to make it visually appealing on screen. AR Murugadoss directs Sarkar starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles. The film will hit screens in a record number of screens for Diwali in November.
