Sundeep Kishan is stepping into one of the most ambitious films of his career with Karikaala, a grand pan-India socio-fantasy directed by Ugandhar Muni of Shambhala fame and produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju under the Shining Pictures banner. After teasing audiences with an intriguing concept poster, the makers have now unveiled the film’s title along with a visually stunning first look.
The first-look poster immediately transports viewers into a magical realm. Sundeep Kishan appears in a completely transformed avatar as a fearless warrior riding through a dense mystical forest with a sword raised high, while a majestic lion charges beside him.
The project also marks a significant milestone for Sundeep Kishan, who sports a never-seen-before look and costume designed specifically for this larger-than-life warrior character. The role demands a completely fresh screen presence, making it one of the actor’s boldest transformations.
Karikaala is inspired by the magical world of Chandamama fairy tales. The story takes place in a fantasy world filled with magical powers, ancient kingdoms, brave warriors, etc. It promises an exciting adventure based on Indian folklore.
Karikaala will be released in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, with the story unfolding across two chapters. Chapter 1 is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on July 2, 2027, followed by Chapter 2 on October 28, 2027.
The film features music by Sricharan Pakala. The makers will announce the other cast and crew details in the coming days.
