IPL is a real big deal and the BCCI is particularly aggressive when it comes to taking assertive action against any case of misuse of the content. Sadly for milky white actress Tamannaah, she got to learn it the hard way as she has been summoned in an IPL fraud case.
Incidentally, Tamannaah was reportedly summoned by Maharashtra Cyber Wing Police for questioning in connection with the illegal streaming of IPL 2023 on Fairplay App, a sister app of Mahadev betting app.
The allegation from Viacom, the official streaming partner of IPL is that the FairPlay app illegally streamed the IPL 2023 season, resulting in loss of several crores in revenue.
Tamannaah served as the endorser of the said app back then, which meant that she too had fallen under the radar of the police with regard to the investigation of the case. She was summoned just a short while ago, according to ANI.
Earlier, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was also summoned in the case but he hadn’t appeared for investigation till now.
