Composer S.S Thaman has come a long way since his debut as an actor in Boys. He quickly changed gears and became a composer and so far has composed music for 55 films. His latest album Race Gurram, which has turned out to be a chartbuster is the talk of the town. Thaman says this album is special because working with Allu Arjun is the reason.
Talking about how different the album is from his usual ones, he said that he usually uses about 20-30 tunes for songs in a film, but for Race Gurram he used only 6-9 tunes and that makes it even more special he feels. He feels composing for someone like Arjun is an advantage because a song is appreciated when the music as well as the hero’s dancing in it is received well by the audience. He has absolutely no doubt about Arjun’s dancing skills, and therefore, feels working with him on the film has been very special.
There have been remarks that most albums of Thaman sound the same. But Thaman clarifies that since 10-12 albums of his released within a span of a year, audience may find the tunes repetitive. He feels time should given to the audience to enjoy an album but since we are in a hurry to make films, we end up releasing more albums in a short period of time.
