After the release of Pushpa 2 in December this year, the future of the Telugu Film Industry for the next few months doesn’t look too bright.
What once appeared to be a superb lineup has suddenly started to look risky.
Ram Charan’s collaboration with Shankar for Game Changer a few years ago seemed like a masterstroke. However, following the debacle of Indian 2, Game Changer doesn’t sound as exciting anymore.

Additionally, the film has been in production for three years, which gives it a stale feel. According to fans, the posters, songs, and overall vibe of Game Changer lack the wow factor. The film is set to release on January 10, 2025.
Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu was an extremely promising project when it was announced in 2019. Directed by Krish and produced by AM Ratnam, it was one of the most hyped films as it marked Pawan’s first straight film in many years.

However, the film has faced continuous delays, with director Krish abandoning the project and AM Ratnam’s son taking over. It is now scheduled for release on March 28, 2025, but it clearly lacks the hype it had when it was first announced.
Prabhas’ upcoming film, Raja Saab, is directed by Maruthi, who isn’t typically known for handling heroes of Prabhas’ stature. His last few films have been disasters, particularly Pakka Commercial.

Even Prabhas’ fans are questioning why he accepted such a project at the peak of his career. Let’s hope Maruthi delivers a big surprise with Raja Saab, which is slated for release on April 10, 2025.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara carried a lot of expectations. His return to the mystical genre after Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari and Anji was anticipated to be a treat for the audience.
However, the recently released teaser completely disappointed fans. The extremely poor VFX in the teaser diminished all expectations, leading many on social media to fear that this might be another failure for Chiranjeevi, similar to Bholaa Shankar. The film is aiming for a May 2025 release.
All of these big projects, which once sounded so promising, now seem very risky, and it remains to be seen how they ultimately turn out.
