It was a dull weekend at the box office for Telugu movies in the US. The new releases, Nannu Dochukunduvate, and Saamy 2 didn’t do anything significant commercially.

Nannu Dochukunduvate was ahead of Saamy 2 quite comfortably, but it wasn’t much on its own. It just highlights how low Saamy 2 opened. The leftover releases Shailaja Reddy Alludu and U Turn didn’t add anything either are ready to exit.
The setting is perfect for DevaDas. It is getting a wide release in the US, the biggest, in fact, or Nani and Nagarjuna. The theatrical is fun and overall, the movie making aesthetics and appeal, look perfect for the US audience. If the film gets a positive talk, it will surely be a money spinner after a brief gap in the US.

Vyjayanthi Movies tasted a massive success, Mahanati, earlier in the year. While it might be impossible to repeat the same feat, they wouldn’t mind getting a positive talk. DevaDas is going to have premier shows on September 26 in the US.
