The actress has now made it clear that the information is simply wrong. During a recent Girl Talks podcast, Vaishnavi revealed that she is actually 25 years old. She said her date of birth is in January 2001 and that the age being circulated online does not reflect her actual details.
Interestingly, Vaishnavi Chaitanya also showed her Aadhaar card on camera during the podcast and showed the date of birth mentioned on the document. The moment came around the 1:03:00 mark of the interview. With that, she wanted to put an end to the repeated discussions about her age.
The confusion had become a talking point in recent days because many social media users were surprised by the claim that she was 32. Some even joked about how young she looked despite the alleged age. Vaishnavi’s clarification now puts those memes and posts into perspective.
The actress shot to fame with Baby, which became a huge blockbuster and established her as one of the promising young actresses in Telugu cinema. Her career has been struggling since then. Her latest release Epic also turned out to be a disaster at the box office, although Vaishnavi received appreciation for her performance, styling and looks.
