War was one of the big movies when it was announced. It was like any other biggie, expected to take a massive opening. However, ever since its first teaser came out, the expectations have changed to a whole new level.
Here is the present status of War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff. The commercial entertainer is all set to go past the previous best advance sales of Bollywood biggies featuring top stars. Thugs Of Hindostan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo were the movies with record advances. War, is zooming past all of them and set a new benchmark.
In fact, a section believes, the advances are on par with the Avengers: Endgame in the tradition Hindi circuit. It means a 50 Cr Nett opening locked from the traditional Hindi markets alone.
Going back to the start, War did not give an impression of a biggie this huge when it was announced. Like mentioned above, it all changed with the teaser. We can’t help but wonder if Saaho and War trailers coming at the same time and the inevitable comparison have led to this situation. One can feel the Hindi audience as a whole owning up the movie and wanting to prove a point concerning action, quality, and ‘biggest-budget’ claim. To prove that, they too can deliver.
