A social media user who posted a meme about Yash’s Toxic on August 26 has claimed that he received a court notice five days later. He had shared a humorous meme video on X, joking that Om Raut might feel proud after seeing the Toxic reviews because someone had finally made a film worse than Adipurush.
The post reportedly gained attention before the user received an email with an official court document.
The notice is related to a temporary court order obtained by KVN Productions LLP against X Corp and others. The user has questioned why Yash is taking such strong legal action over what he considered a simple joke. This has now created another controversy around Toxic.
This is also not the first time the Toxic team has taken action over online reviews. Legal notices were reportedly sent to some YouTube reviewers earlier as well. Now, the fact that even a relatively small social media user has received a legal notice has triggered more trolling against Yash and the Toxic team.
If a big pan-India star and an expensive film cannot handle a meme from an ordinary social media user, why react so strongly? The situation is becoming increasingly uncomfortable for Toxic.
The film has already received a disastrous response at the box office. Instead of people discussing why the audience rejected the film, the makers are now repeatedly making headlines over reviews, memes, critics, and legal notices.
This is also adding more negativity around Yash, who is already facing much of the trolling surrounding the film.
