Nani’s The Paradise has released its latest single, Yesha Nagula, composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The song has a strong festive feel and comes with a catchy folk beat that instantly grabs attention. The song has the energy to work extremely well in theatres.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise marks another collaboration between Nani and Anirudh. Yesha Nagula keeps the rustic folk flavor intact while giving it a modern treatment. The beats, percussion, and catchy hooks make the song an instant mass number.
Kasarla Shyam’s lyrics add the required earthy touch, while Prabha Bangarigalla and Addula Jangireddy bring strong energy through their vocals. Jangi Reddy’s voice, in particular, gives the song an authentic folk feel.
Keerthy Suresh looks good and dances well, as expected. Nani’s steps, however, do not make much of an impression. The bigger issue for many listeners is the choreography by Aata Sandeep.
Yesha Nagula marks Aata Sandeep’s first song as a choreographer for a pan-India film, so expectations were high. But several fans feel the choreography does not match the power of Anirudh’s composition.
One viewer complained, “There is absolutely no connection between the beat and the steps. Disappointed with the choreography.”
Another reaction was even more direct: “Anirudh gave such a good beat, but what kind of choreography is this? It simply does not suit the song and feels flat.”
The song itself is a blockbuster and has all the ingredients to turn theatres into stadiums. But the choreography needed to match the same level of energy. With stronger and more explosive dance moves, Yesha Nagula could have reached an entirely different level.
For now, the song is a clear mass winner. The only complaint is that the choreography did not rise to the level of the music.
