Legend marked the second collaboration of Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu. The movie which was a huge blockbuster completes 10 years by today. The team celebrated the occasion, as the movie Legend will have a re-release on the 30th of this month.
While speaking at the event, director Boyapati Sreenu said, “I feel proud to have made a legendary movie. A legend is one who creates history. It is not a joke for any movie to run in theatre for 3 years. Besides increasing budgets, our responsibilities will also increase for the next one, if a movie turns out to be a hit. We will come up with a bigger project next time.
Except for Balayya, nobody would have done justice to the roles he played in Simha, Legend and Akhanda. Simha will soon complete its 15 years after release. Sonal was busy with a movie shooting in Switzerland. We need to thank her for coming here to attend the event. Everyone was shocked to see Jagapathi Babu’s character in the movie.”
Balakrishna said, “It feels like we are celebrating the pre-release event of the movie. Telugu audiences always encourage movies with good content. Our Telugu movies are doing well worldwide. Legend created all-time records. It was the first south Indian movie to run in a theatre for more than 1000 days.
I’m trying hard to be responsible with my movies. I’m making sure the movies I do have a good message. I’m happy to see Sonal in the yellow dress. The color yellow is an auspicious sign. The film Legend was released before elections. It had a great impact on the elections. The movie is releasing again. I could see the same vibes now.”
Boyapati also appealed everyone to cast their votes in the upcoming elections and elect the right person.
