Telugu Desam Party MLA Atchannaidu who was earlier arrested by the ACB in connection with ESI Scam finally managed Conditional Bail after 70 days. Andhra Pradesh High Court had granted bail for the TDP leader as the court deemed that he is not necessary in Police custody for further investigation.
Atchannaidu underwent a surgery a couple of days before the arrest. He was transported all the way from Srikakulam to Vijaywada by road which aggravated his problem and a second surgery became imminent. Later, he was admitted to a Corporate Hospital in Vijayawada where he was tested Positive for Coronavirus.
He is currently being treated in a COVID Center of a Private Hospital in Vijayawada. Telugu Desam Party has been alleging that YSRC government had arrested Atchannaidu despite knowing about his surgery and continued to harass him as they were bent on politics of vengeance.
Aiding to those allegations, ACB in a recent media interaction revealed that they are yet to establish any financial gains accrued by Atchannaidu in relation to this scam. If they fails to establish that the case will not amount to Corruption but will be treated as a deviation from established procedures.
