Former Minister Atchannaidu was arrested by ACB last week in a case related to ESI Scam. The Tekkali MLA was arrested from his residence in the early hours and was taken to Vijayawada on road. He got operated for a Problem only the day before and the ACB did not listen to his family that Road Travel is not safe.
He is being treated in Guntur Government Hospital. Latest Reports suggest that Atchannaidu developed an infection in the operated area and may have to undergo one more surgery. The surgery is likely to be performed once the necessary permissions have come.
Legal experts say that due process is not followed during the arrest and the ACB should have considered his health condition while plying him on roads for several hours. If the Second Surgery becomes imminent, the officials may be reprimanded by the court for their negligence.
This would also earn a bad name for the Government as the entire episode clearly appears like Vendetta.
