Disappointed TDP Leader Anam Ramanarayana Reddy is all set to join YSR Congress. He has set September 2nd as the Muhurtham for his joining. But a tug of war is happening in Atmakur constituency as Anam wants to show his might by taking away the second rung leaders of the constituency from TDP.

TDP is also doing all it can to effectively block them thereby singling out Anam. So, September 2nd will be a Show of Strength for the Senior Leader. Many say that Anam has lost his grip on the constituency and no longer has the command which he used to have in his prime. The sudden demise of Vivekananda Reddy also worsened things they say.
Anam became a minister for the first time in NTR cabinet in 1985. After losing 1989 elections, he joined Congress party in 1991 after Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy became the CM. He won all the elections from 1999 to 2009. Finally did not contest in 2014 after the State Bifurcation.
