Reports are emerging that the BJP may appoint a new President for its Andhra Pradesh Unit later this month.
The current President Daggubati Purandeshwari maybe taken into the Union Cabinet sources say. While there are many names doing rounds for the next President, Vijayawada West MLA Sujana Chowdary’s name is being prominently heard.

There used to be a wide gap between the families of Chandrababu Naidu and Purandeshwari earlier. But they resolved the issues and they are in good terms now.
Purandeshwari facilitated the alliance and vote transfer in the recent elections.
Sujana Chowdary is known to be pro-TDP despite the fact that he shifted to the BJP immediately after the 2019 defeat.
TDP is a key ally of the NDA right now.
After two consecutive terms of unanimous victory, the Narendra Modi Government fell marginally short of the required majority this time.
The Simple Majority in the Lok Sabha is 272. BJP is only 240 seats in the house and is majorly dependent on the TDP and the JDU for its survival. With the allies, NDA is currently at 293.
So, it is unlikely that the BJP will antagonize TDP in the near future in any way.
