In recent days, there have been speculations and discussions about the Hindupur MP candidate from the alliance in Andhra Pradesh.
The name of BJP leader Satya Kumar has been circulating on social media as a potential candidate for the Hindupur Parliament seat.
Minister Peddireddy has raised concerns about Satya Kumar’s candidacy, questioning whether he is a local or non-local candidate for the Hindupur constituency.
The developments surrounding the Hindupur Parliament segment have caused worries among TDP cadre, as the party traditionally holds a strong presence in the Rayalaseema districts, including Anantapur.
TDP President Chandrababu Naidu has indicated to the cadre that the party is not willing to give up the Hindupur seat to other parties in the alliance.
The TDP leadership has decided to field former Penugonda MLA BK Parthasarathy as the Anantapur Lok Sabha candidate this time, who has previously served as the Hindupuram MP.
As part of social mobilization in the district, BK Parthasarathy will be stationed in Anantapur, while Sabita, a woman leader of the party, is set to contest as the Penugonda assembly candidate.
The Hindupuram MP candidate is expected to be a leader from the Boya community.
Initially, former minister Kalva Srinivas was considered for the position, but due to his appeal for a chance as an MLA, the decision was kept pending.
Jana Sena is reportedly seeking Puttaparthi or Anantapur urban seat in the district, while BJP is hoping for the Dharmavaram seat.
The candidacy of Kalva Srinivas for the Lok Sabha or Assembly seat, as well as the uncertainty surrounding the Rayadurgam seat, remains to be determined.
The TDP leadership is also considering allocating seats for Muslims or BCs in certain areas, depending on any legal issues that may arise.
