The BJP High Command made Daggubati Purandeswari the President of the AP State Unit sensing that the then President Somu Veerraju and his faction are completely working in favor of the YSR Congress.
After the alliance with TDP, the Pro-YSR Congress faction tried its level best to field candidates favorable for the YSR Congress but even that did not happen.
The likes of Somu Veerraju, GVL Narasimha Rao, and IYR Krishna Rao could not get tickets and they have become inactive.
But then, this faction is trying to trouble the alliance and Purandeswari in particular with the issues in seat-sharing.
The only success for them is that they could block Raghu Rama Krishna Raju from getting Narasapuram MP ticket.
And now, Anaparthy seat has come in handy for them.
TDP was not in favor of giving Anaparthy ticket to the BJP but the party insisted. Sivarama Krishnam Raju, an Ex-serviceman got Anaparthy ticket from BJP.
TDP cadre was disappointed about Nallamilli Rama Krishna Reddy not getting the ticket and there were agitations on the ground.
But the problem is not the agitations, Sivarama Krishnam Raju’s Social Media activity was revealed in public. He is seen abusing and mocking the TDP, especially Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna.
His rants on Social Media did not appear political. They are more like personal hatred. Sivarama Krishnam Raju locked his X account and fled off social media but not before the TDP cadre decided to defeat him.
Meanwhile, Nallamilli was relentlessly fighting for the ticket.
If the candidate is not changed, Anaparthy will be lost and the Rajahmundry Parliament will be lost too.
Unless there is a tight fight or victory in Anaparthy, there is no chance of winning the Rajahmundry Parliament.
BJP wants Denduluru in exchange for Anaparthy but that would mean TDP has to leave out Chintamaneni Prabhakar who worked on the ground and Eluru Parliament will be impacted as well.
Parliament seats are very important for the BJP at the Center. So, having Nallamilli join the BJP is the only option.
In fact, TDP does not like to send Nallamilli to the BJP and even he is not in favor of going to BJP. But that was a sacrifice since BJP is insisting on Denduluru and is not agreeing for Thambalapalli.
Purandeswari and CM Ramesh are the better bets to win among the six Parliament seats BJP got.
The Pro-YSR Congress faction in the AP BJP does not have a single leader capable of winning at least his deposit.
So, they are trying to shoot Purandeswari from the shoulders of the Anaparthy candidate.
Since Purandeswari and Chandrababu are related and as she is contesting from Rajahmundry, they are trying their level best to push their agenda.
But it is an open fact that Purandeswari always positioned herself against Chandrababu Naidu in politics.
The BJP High Command can trust the Pro-YCP faction and lose a potential winning seat (Rajahmundry) if Nallamilli is not given Anaparthy ticket.
