New developments have emerged in the fake liquor case, and officials have traced key links to Goa. The SIT has identified Goa as a major hub for spurious liquor operations.
According to the investigation, accused individuals Janardhan Rao and Jinesh from Kerala set up a liquor dump in Goa during the YSRCP government period. Fake liquor was allegedly distributed across North Goa, South Goa, Panaji, and Margao.
SIT officials have now connected several people to the case, increasing the number of accused to 23. Interrogations are underway, and arrests are being prepared as more links are uncovered.
The accused reportedly assisted key suspects Janardhan Rao and Jaganmohan Rao in running the fake liquor network. Authorities are tightening the probe and gathering more evidence.
Meanwhile, YSRCP leader Jogi Ramesh and his brother Ramu have been taken into custody and remanded to Nellore jail until November 13, as part of the ongoing investigation.
