Ramoji Rao’s Eenadu remained relatively silent in the 2019 elections. Eenadu group did not take an anti-Jagan stance for some reason and helped YSR Congress in a way. YSR Congress won the election and since then, Jagan is trying to hit the financial roots of Eenadu.
Jagan has been trying to stir sympathy for himself in the name of ‘Dushta Chathushtayam’ which further irked Ramoji Rao. Eenadu group has been publishing stories of Government failures but for some reason did not go into Jagan’s failures and corruption until now.
The other day, the Andhra Pradesh Government filed a Special Leave Petition in Undavalli Arun Kumar’s Margadarsi case. The flimsy case was supposed to be struck down but is now delayed due to AP Government’s SLP.
The SLP was filed just before the retirement of Chief Justice NV Ramana. Jagan believed NV Ramana helps Chandrababu and Ramoji Rao and so filed the SLP at the last minute hoping that the case will trouble Ramoji Rao under the new CJI.
Ramoji Rao believes Jagan is trying to taint his reputation with a non-existent case and now, the war is on.
Eenadu published a story today about how a company belonging to Jagan’s Uncle Ravindranath Reddy’s son is trying to grab the lands of Indu Group.
When YSR was the chief minister, the most valuable lands were handed over to the Indu Group of his own people in the name of Lepakshi Knowledge Hub. As a result, the company invested in the company of Jagan.
As this scam came to light during the CBI investigation, the ED attached those lands. Thousands of crores of loans already taken by mortgaging them have not been repaid.
According to the current market, those lands, worth thousands of crores of rupees, are going into the hands of Jagan’s close relatives’ company in the form of bankruptcy proceedings, and that too for only Rs. 500 crores!
The article says the Chief Minister is using his good office to influence the banks to agree to the 500 Crore offer for the pending loans of around 5000 Crore.
It looks like it is going to be a fully blown war between Jagan and the media baron with elections around two years to go. Jagan may regret messing up with Ramoji Rao if the steam continues.
