The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) faced a major shake-up this week with the suspension of party chief KCR’s daughter and MLC, Kavitha. The official reason given was her controversial comments against former minister Harish Rao and Santosh Rao.
Now, a fresh twist has emerged. Senior Congress leader Vanteru Pratap Reddy has made a sensational claim, alleging that Harish Rao once tried to conspire against his own uncle, KCR.
Vanteru stated that during the 2018 Assembly elections, when he contested from Gajwel, Harish Rao personally called him and offered full support to defeat KCR. He claimed Harish Rao promised money and cadre, telling him, “If KCR loses, everything will be ours.”
These comments come as a response to Kavitha’s earlier remarks, where she accused Harish Rao and Santosh Rao of large-scale corruption in the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. Vanteru added that he can swear on any god that the phone call from Harish Rao did happen.
He also said the conspiracy started that day, but no one listened when he tried to raise alarm earlier. While the timing makes Vanteru’s revelation sound believable, serious allegations like these require solid proof beyond hearsay.
Interestingly, Kavitha had recently cried that her father, KCR, was surrounded by “pisachalu” (demons). With both sides making explosive claims, the truth remains unclear.
