The coming season of the Indian Premier League is commencing in exactly 10 days from now and the expectations are high amongst the cricket-following community.
In a hugely encouraging update for cricket fans in Vizag, the cricket stadium in the city could be seeing much more action than initially anticipated.
At first, it was confirmed that only the opening two games of the Delhi Capitals team would be played at the Vizag Stadium. But now, the latest updates are suggesting that more games could be played at Vizag.
Amidst the acute water crisis in Bengaluru, there are reports that the home games of RCB could be played either at Vizag Stadium or at Pune Stadium.
Approximately 15,000 – 20,000 liters per day are needed to maintain the Bengaluru Stadium and amidst the acute crisis, this is going to be a tough challenge. More so, after having held WPL matches already.
So, if RCB’s matches are moved to Vizag, then this could mean a huge deal for Vizag crowds. Given the enthusiasm shown by the Vizag crowds for the matches held here, if the IPL games quota in the Vizag stadium is increased, we could see great hype at the stadium.
But we have to wait for an official update on the same as the RCB franchise hasn’t yet taken the final call on the matter.
