RCB Swing King Reveals His Biggest Career Regret

Bhuvneshwar Kumar career regret

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has revealed the biggest regret of his career, saying he wishes he had hired a personal trainer and a physio much earlier.

The India and RCB Star pacer believes better fitness could have helped him avoid some of the injuries that kept him out of important series.

Bhuvneshwar said that if he could go back in time, he would want to be fitter and play those series with the same players he shared the dressing room with.

Bhuvneshwar suffered several injuries between 2018 and 2020. A back injury ruled him out of India’s 2018 Test series in England, when he was in good form. His fitness problems continued around the 2019 World Cup and later affected his India career.

Looking back at those years, Bhuvneshwar Kumar feels having a personal trainer and physio could have made a big difference.

He said fitness was one area that could have changed things for him and helped him play more matches for India.

The 36 year old has worked on his fitness in recent years and has continued to perform for RCB. His performances have also led to calls for another India chance, especially after his recent IPL form.

Bhuvneshwar also spoke about retirement and admitted that watching Karn Sharma retire recently made him think about his own last game.

He said he is not sure whether he fears retirement, but leaving something he has done since childhood will definitely be an emotional moment.

For Bhuvneshwar, the biggest question now is whether his late career form can give him one more chance to play for India.
