The 17th season of the Indian Premier League commenced today with the first game between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru getting underway.
But going by the latest posts on social media, RCB fans were humiliated at the host stadium for today’s game, Chennai.
There are several social media posts about RCB fans not being allowed to enter the stadium with RCB flags. There are posts about how the security outside the stadium is not allowing RCB flags into the Chennai stadium. Wearing RCB jersey is alright but the flags are not being allowed into the stadium, it seems.
This is usually seen in IPL where certain stadiums don’t allow the opponent team’s flags inside the stadium and Chennai Super Kings stadium is doing the same this time around.
With the IPL finally arriving, the Telugu community has also divided into different groups based on their favorite sides. Social media is flooded with related posts.
