On one hand YCP chief YS Jagan makes tall claims that he is going for 175/175 MLA seats in the coming elections. But on the other, he is reportedly backtracking when it comes to holding Panchayat Sarpanch elections in his own estate of Idupulapaya.
Incidentally, Kadapa TDP bigwig and ex MLC BTech Ravi has pointed out that Jagan is refraining from holding Sarpanch election in Idupulapaya with the fear of losing it.
“TDP candidate has filed Sarpanch nomination. But YCP doesn’t have a single leader who is coming forward to contest. All this is happening at Jagan’s estate of Idupulapaya. This shows how scared Jagan is about the public mandate” Ravi said.
The TDP leader further pointed out “the candidature of the TDP candidate hadn’t been approved by the MPDO. This shows that Jagan himself is scared of losing local elections in Idupulapaya and he has asked government officials not to approve TDP’s nomination.”
Ravi added that Jagan isn’t even confident enough of holding the election in his own estate and that speaks about what’s to come when Andhra Pradesh goes to general elections.
It is strange to see Jagan calling for 175/175 on one hand and then backing away from holding local elections in his own Idupulapaya constituency.
