Jagan consistently minimises mentioning Pawan Kalyan directly in his speeches. This approach has been noticed by the public and political observers alike. Many see it as a deliberate attempt to undermine Pawan Kalyan’s stature.
One major reason cited for the heavy defeat of YSR Congress in the 2024 elections is the anger within the Kapu community. Several believe the repeated humiliation of Pawan Kalyan by Jagan and other party leaders played a key role.
Now, reports suggest that Jagan’s close coterie is advising him to soften his stand. They are urging him to avoid provoking Pawan Kalyan further. This advice comes amid fresh political speculation in Andhra Pradesh.
Suddenly, rumours have surfaced that Nara Lokesh may soon replace Chandrababu Naidu as Chief Minister. Jagan’s inner circle believes this could change alliance dynamics. They feel Pawan Kalyan may then distance himself from the Telugu Desam Party.
According to this group, YSR Congress should stay away from attacking Pawan Kalyan for now. They claim his recent aggression is meant to divert attention from government failures. They believe time will naturally weaken his position once leadership changes.
Whether YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ego will allow such restraint remains uncertain. YSR Congress has long projected the slogan “సింహం సింగల్ గా వస్తుంది”. Any compromise could dilute that image.
Leaving all this aside, the biggest question remains unanswered. Why would Pawan Kalyan ever consider aligning with YSR Congress, given the history between the two sides?
