A three-year timeline is very ambitious given the bad financial condition of Andhra Pradesh, but then, with Chandrababu Naidu at the helm, nothing is impossible.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was also invited to the Event, but he chose to stay away like how he did in 2015.

Between 2014 and 2019, Jagan at least tried to hoodwink the people that he was in favor of Amaravati.
But this time, he is even refusing to spell out his stance.

On March 3rd, Botsa Satyanarayana, the LoP in the AP Legislative Council, announced that they would reconsider and reveal their policy on the capital.
Botsa said that they had gone towards three capitals based on the circumstances at that time and clarified that they would discuss what their policy is now on the capital and announce it soon.
It’s been more than two months, but there are no reports of YSR Congress discussing this topic or taking any decision.
Neither Jagan attended the Amaravati 2.0 event nor sent any representative.
The Party leaders were also instructed to carefully respond.
That means Jagan is unable to make a decision.
Three Capitals do not hold ground now after the YSR Congress was defeated thoroughly. At the same time, his ego does not allow him to support Amaravati.
It looks like Jagan will buy more time to take a stand.
Probably, he will decide the future course of action based on the Government’s ability to execute the project in three years. Also, the party would keenly observe and wish that the second phase of land-pooling would fail.
Such a failure will give YSR Congress an issue in Amaravati to pull it back or to bash the Government.
On the other side, given the experience between 2019 and 2024, neither Chandrababu Naidu nor the Amaravati farmers will take any chances.
