The Telangana Congress is facing a peculiar situation now, thanks to the family who appear to be on their mission to sustain power at any cost. On one hand, we have Konda Surekha, who is facing crisis situation as her ministry is being restricted by the Congress leadership.
On the other hand, we have the case of Konda Surekha’s daughter, Sushmita who is launching her own battle. She recently said Revanth Reddy or even his father can’t stop her from becoming the MLA of Parakala Assembly constituency in the future.
It is evident that Sushmita is launching her own political fight in Telangana Congress and does not have the support of Revanth Reddy. This is possibility due to the fact that Surekha is already active in politics, and it is tough to accommodate another person from her family.
However, this comment from Sushmita and the existing friction between Konda Surekha and the Congress leadership have led to complications. Even the Congress disciplinary committee has also instructor the party leadership to take action against Surekha.
There have been speculations about the possible corrective measures against the Konda family. But the good thing for them is that Congress high command is still giving them another chance as Bhatti Vikram met with Konda Murali(Konda Surekha’s husband) today.
This was followed by Murali, commenting that his family will stay with the Congress party, regardless of what happens. “We can’t be held responsible for whatever our daughter says. We had nothing to do with her opinions. They are her own.” He clarified.
It appears that this Konda family feud is taking new terms, every single day, and the Congress leadership is having to deal with them on repeated basis.
