CCTVs may not always prevent crimes, but they can help expose disturbing acts. In one shocking case, three youth on a bike molested a girl riding a scooter in front of the Nexa Showroom in Madhapur.
The incident was captured on video by someone travelling in a nearby car. The person immediately reported it to the police, who managed to arrest the three youth within 24 hours, ensuring swift action in the matter.
Even with quick arrests, the act has raised serious concerns. The offenders looked like regular college-going students, yet they indulged in such behaviour. This has created fear about the safety of young women travelling for work or education.
The lack of fear shown by the culprits is alarming. They did not seem worried about consequences and acted casually in a busy public area. The incident once again highlights pressing questions about women’s safety in Hyderabad.
