Mahashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar Dies In Plane Cash

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar died in a plane crash on Wednesday. He was on his way to Baramati to campaign for the ZPTC elections in Maharashtra.

Three died in the accident. They set out at 8.45 am and the plane developed technical glitches. The pilot lost control as they were landing and all died in the crash as the craft was engulfed in flames.

He was the Minister of Finance and Planning for Maharashtra. He was a member of the Nationalist Congress Party. He was the 8th Deputy CM along with Eknath Shinde under CM Devender Fadnavis. He served in the position for six terms in various governments including that of Uddhav Thackeray.

Ajit Pawar also served ad the leader of opposition between 2022 and 2023 and represented Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency.
