Naidu with HUDCO plan to house employees in AP

Chandrababu naidu andhra pradesh hudcoAndhra Pradesh government is looking forward to very soon shift its administrative base to its own state and as a part of it, government had started looking options for providing accommodation to employees. According to the reports, government is planning to construct 20-storeyed high rise towers to house families of about 15,000 to 20,000 employees.

The cost of this project is estimated at about 2600 Crore and it will be executed with the help of the financial aid from HUDCO. Of this 80 per cent would be the share of HUDCO and State government would bear 20 per cent.

The government will stop paying its employees the HRA allowance and will be forwarding it to repay HUDCO loan payment. The government is still working on the modus operandi. This mega project is likely to complete in 4-5 years. Employees will be shifted as each phase construction completes.
