The smaller districts have brought increased discipline among staff, punctuality, easy accessibility of higher officials to common people. But then, there are no office buildings in the new districts and additional staff has not been appointed.
Local TRS leaders have become a problem for the construction of integrated administrative complexes in new district headquarters. They want the offices to be set up in sites which will improve the realty value of their kith and kin, which is being opposed by district officials.
The issues have reached KCR’s table now. There is a staff crunch which has to be addressed by the state government as well as the central government. These issues are to be immediately addressed so as to ensure that the administration gets better.
