YS Jagan’s decision to change existing candidates ahead of the General Elections in AP, including the sudden replacement of in-charges in 11 constituencies, has sparked discontent within the YSRCP party. These changes have given rise to speculation that the party leadership made these adjustments due to concerns about potential electoral losses.
Notably, Krishna district is expected to witness significant and surprising changes. YSRCP reportedly plans to sideline both Malladi Vishnu and Vellampalli Srinivas in the district, both of whom currently represent Vijayawada city as YSRCP candidates.
Minister Jogi Ramesh, who expressed a desire to move from Pedana to Mylavaram, is facing difficulties securing a YSRCP ticket. Instead, YSRCP intends to field Jogi Ramesh from the Eluru Parliament constituency.
In Gannavaram, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who defected from TDP to YSRCP, is facing uncertainty about obtaining the party ticket. Despite his opponent Yarlagadda Venkata Rao rejoining TDP, Vamsi does not have a guarantee to be assigned the Gannavaram ticket.
Reportedly, YSRCP has suggested Vamsi shift to the Penamaluru segment, but Vamsi has remained silent and shown no interest in contesting from Penamaluru. These changes and uncertainties within the party indicate a dynamic and evolving political landscape in the lead-up to the elections.
