Jana Sena has turned 13 years old. The party chief Pawan Kalyan decided to cancel a grand celebration due to heat conditions and decided to hold grassroots level celebrations.
On Saturday, he celebrated the day with girijans at Nandigaruvu village in Alluri district. Seeing the use of doli for pregnant women and after understanding the plight of the tanda, Pawan Kalyan got a road sanctioned for the tanda with just 40 houses.
Pawan Kalyan also brought drinking water to the tanda. The Jana Sena chief highlighted the importance of ‘maata manthi’ programmes and said they were a conduit between the government and the people. During Jagan’s time, he never visited tandas or remote areas that had no facilities like roads. In fact, he never saw the need to address such issues.
But Pawan Kalyan has made it his agenda to lay roads in remote and forest areas where the girijans lived. And helping him in fulfilling his mission are PM Narendra Modi and CM Chandrababu. Despite facing security issues as the tanda was amidst Maoist area and braving landmines, Pawan Kalyan visited the village and ensured the 40 families got relief from their drudgery.
After opening the Rs 2 crore road for access to 40 houses, Pawan Kalyan stated that it was the most satisfying day after Jana Sena was established 13 years back.
