YSR Congress unveiled its candidates list for 175 MLA segments and 24 MP segments. Only one MP segment i.e., Anakapalli Parliament is kept pending.
Reddy Community that is only 3.5% of the total population in Andhra Pradesh dominated the list. Out of the 175 Assembly segments, they were given a whopping 49 seats. That constitutes to around 28% of the total seats.
If we remove 29 SC reserved seats and 7 SC reserved seats, the percentage is more than 35%.
In Rayalaseema, the number is even more shocking. Out of the 52 total constituencies, Reddy community got a whopping 33 seats. That is 63.4% of the total seats. If we remove the nine SC reserved seats in the region, the percentage goes up to 75% of the total seats.
In Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s own District of Kadapa, Reddys got five out of the seven seats.
In Lok Sabha seats too, Reddy Community is also the single largest beneficiary with five seats.
