A conversation between a housewife and Dharmavaram MLA is attracting comments from netizens. As a part of the ‘Maa Nammakam Nuvve Jagananna’ program, Ketireddy Venkataramireddy, YCP MLA of Dharmavaram in Srisatyasai district, visited a home in his constituency.
The MLA explained the various schemes of Jagan’s governments, especially those pertaining to women. Following his talk, the lady of the house requested the MLA to tell the government to reduce liquor prices.
To this, the MLA asked her if she wanted the government to stop selling liquor or simply reduce prices. The lady said it would be good if the government stopped selling, but added that it would be best if it slashed the prices.
The MLA responded by saying that she should stop feeding her husband if he came home drunk. To this, the lady replied that she cannot afford to do it as he is the earning member of the family. She added that she had girls and wanted them to be educated.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Government went back on the promise of Liquor Prohibition, women at least want the government to reduce the prices so that the men do not splurge all their money on liquor, but it looks like the YSRCP government doesn’t have any intention of doing that also.
