Telangana CM Revanth Reddy sparked interest with remarks during a meeting in Moosapet, Mahbubnagar. His comments about Telugu Desam Party stirred debate as he praised TDP’s role in Telangana and criticised BRS for conspiring against it.
Revanth Reddy said Telangana once had a great party like TDP but BRS ensured it lost its presence. He added that eliminating good people cannot bring prosperity and warned that nature’s laws will punish such actions.
It is well known that Revanth Reddy began his political journey in TDP before joining Telangana Congress. He often says his schooling was with RSS, his college was with TDP and his professional work is with the Congress.
With TDP regaining power in Andhra Pradesh, the party is now seeking to grow in Telangana, where Andhra settlers form a strong base. Revanth Reddy’s words seem aimed at connecting with that segment ahead of the Jubilee Hills bypoll and local body elections.
