An Ohio-based Newspaper is the newest culprit for making racist comments. This time on the receiving end is the Republican Senate candidate JD Vance at the expense of his Indian-American wife.
The Plain Dealer, Cleveland’s major newspaper, published a cartoon last week depicting Democratic candidate Tim Ryan. The cartoon takes a dig at the name change culture of Indian women after marriage.
The cartoon has Vance saying “Only Indians name change I support is my wife’s to ‘Senator J.D. Vance’s Spouse”.
Vance’s wife Usha is an Indian – American. While it looks like a dig at Vance, there is a racist slur targeting the Indian Culture.
Usha is an attorney who works for a San Francisco-Washington D.C. law firm.
