CM KCR, the leader of the BRS party, is currently aiming to secure victory in the upcoming Telangana assembly elections, seeking a hat-trick win. However, unexpected setbacks are posing challenges. KCR announced 115 candidates ahead of Congress and BJP, but this move has led to disappointment among aspirants who were anticipating BRS tickets. Prominent members and leaders within the BRS party are expressing profound dissatisfaction.
The sense of discontent is not confined to specific constituencies; it has spread to regions including Malkajigiri, Khanapur, Janagama, Narsapur, Mulugu, and particularly Nalgonda district. Amidst these developments, Khanapur MLA Rekha Naik is reportedly considering leaving the party. Similarly, another senior MLA is contemplating bidding farewell to the BRS Party, as per reliable sources.
This discontent is primarily evident in senior MLA Uppal MLA Bethi Subhas Reddy. His frustration and ire stem from Bandaru Lakshma Reddy being chosen as the sitting MLA over him, leading to discord within Uppal BRS. Supporters, enthusiasts, and activists are urging Subhash Reddy to depart from BRS and contest on the Congress ticket, as both Congress and BJP have already extended invitations to him.
A meeting is scheduled today with leaders and followers in Uppal. Bheti Subhash Reddy intends to gather their opinions and subsequently announce his future course of action. However, key supporters of the MLA are suggesting that the likelihood of him parting ways with BRS is considerable.
