Chandrababu Naidu is undoubtedly the most sought-after figure in Indian politics right now, especially following his impressive victory in securing 16 Lok Sabha seats from Andhra Pradesh.
With the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) falling short of the majority mark of 272, both the BJP and the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc, led by the Congress, are vying for Naidu’s support to bolster their respective coalitions.
A viral image of Naidu with Samajwadi Party and INDIA bloc leader Akhilesh Yadav sparked speculation that Naidu was leaning towards the INDIA alliance, causing panic among BJP supporters.
However, it’s important to clarify that these images are from 2019 when Naidu met Yadav in Lucknow. They are unrelated to the current discussions regarding the formation of the government in India.
Indian National Congress’ social media handle shared the same pic of Akhilesh and Chandrababu Naidu with a witty caption, “Don’t panic Modiji, it’s an old pic.”
It must be said that social media has turned out to be the Congress’s secret weapon. Unlike the hate-filled IT cell stuff, the Congress posts have style and humor.
