The Hyderabad cyber crime police booked a case on a YouTuber who was infamous for creating content that sexually assaulted the minors. AP YouTuber Kambeti Satyamurthy was making sensuous interviews involving minors through his ‘Viral Hub 007’ YouTube channel.
The YouTuber had been conducting interviews of 15 and 17 year olds and grooming them to make lewd comments. The police found that Satyamurthy was making such videos to get more views, say the police investigating him.
In one interview, he made a minor girl kiss a little boy. The cyber police took this video as proof for suo moto action and arrested the YouTuber. Satyamurthy has been booked under POCSO and IT charges.
The arrest is generating great public interest as the content was harmful to minors. At a time when parents want security of their children from disturbing content online, many are welcoming the arrest of Satyamurthy. Many are wondering how Satyamurthy managed to get minors to talk lewd on camera which will be publicly shared. There are demands of strict regulations on YouTube content.
