YSR Congress still looks lost on its stand about Amaravati. As you saw during Jagan’s rule, the party tried to destroy the capital idea through the three capitals policy but did not build even a single city. Today, Andhra Pradesh has returned to Amaravati as its capital.
In the 2024 election, YSR Congress collapsed to just eleven Assembly seats. You already know why. People clearly rejected the three capitals idea and made their choice loud and clear. This is no longer a policy debate. It is public verdict.
Now Chandrababu Naidu is pushing serious investment into Amaravati. Unlike the past, you see real movement on the ground. This time, Amaravati is moving towards becoming Andhra Pradesh’s permanent capital. That makes YSR Congress’s silence more noticeable.
Jagan Mohan Reddy skipped the Amaravati 2.0 Restart event. Since then, you have only heard scattered comments in Pressmeets. The party offers no clarity. Instead, it sends mixed signals that show the old hostility has not gone away.
YSR Congress leaders continue to make careless statements. Recently, Ambati Rambabu mocked the idea of a world-class capital at a Press conference. His words went viral and embarrassed even his own party, which quietly distanced itself.
You saw a clear reaction online. People questioned why Andhra Pradesh should not dream big. They asked why the state does not deserve a global-standard capital. The anger was sharp and emotional because Amaravati is not just a city, it is a symbol of aspiration.
You cannot ignore the effort of the people. Over 26,000 farmers gave more than 31,000 acres peacefully for Amaravati. This remains one of the largest voluntary land pooling movements in India. It happened because people believed in a future.
YSR Congress never believed in that future. The party focused on short-term schemes and ignored long-term growth. You saw five years without serious jobs, large investments, or infrastructure vision. That is why voters rejected it in 2024.
Ambati Rambabu’s statement only confirmed what many already felt. The party still treats Amaravati with resentment, not respect. Some leaders even frame the capital as belonging to one community, which shows how shallow their thinking has become.
If this approach continues, YSR Congress will lose relevance in Krishna, Guntur, East Godavari, West Godavari, and Prakasam. Amaravati’s growth will impact all these districts. You will see economic change spread far beyond the capital area.
You may say the party won in 2019 despite the same mindset. But 2019 was different. Back then, you did not know what was coming. Today, you have seen the damage. You understand the intent. And you have responded.
