On Monday, two leaders from YSRCP spoke about capital Amaravati. On one hand, the state Assembly approved the capital and on the other, the YSRCP leaders said that the decision of the Assembly was not final.
While ex minister Botsa said that it was not enough for the state Assembly to decide on the capital, another leader said the capital cannot be locked in one place. His logic was that Andhra Pradesh capital moved from Madras to Kurnool to Hyderabad and now to Amaravati.
The YSRCP leader said that the capital cannot be locked in one place in the garb of Constitution. Is this the stand of YSRCP or the stand of two leaders?
If they are their personal opinions, then one cannot help it. However, if they are the opinions of the party, it is big trouble for YSRCP.
The Amaravati bill was introduced in the Assembly at 11:11. Just when the citizens of Andhra Pradesh were heaving a sigh of relief, YSRCP leaders’ statements have created confusion among people.
Isn’t the decision to make a city the capital long-term? What is there to feel being locked up in a place, they are wondering.
If the YSRCP continues to behave so irresponsibly, the party could lose its 11 seats in 2029 elections.
