230 Indians Returning from IsraelIn terms of foreign rescue missions, India has always excelled, and this time, during the turmoil between Israel and Palestine, they need to shine once again.

Approximately 230 individuals are set to be the initial Indian citizens returning from Israel through ‘Operation Ajay,’ as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). There are also reports suggesting that the Indian Air Force might get involved in the evacuation mission.

India has previously engaged in missions such as Operation Rahat in Yemen, Operation Safe Homecoming in Libya, and Operation Sankat Mochan in South Sudan.

MEA spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, informed reporters during a weekly briefing that a charter flight is scheduled to arrive in Tel Aviv later in the evening, with an anticipated 230 passengers on board. He mentioned that while various options are available, the potential involvement of the IAF cannot be disregarded.

He later added that the flight will be landing on Indian soil on Friday morning.

The Ministry of External Affairs also stated that there haven’t been reports of casualties thus far in the ongoing conflict in Israel. He also mentioned that approximately 18,000 Indians are currently in Israel and expressed concern regarding the situation. Additionally, Indians were advised to adhere to the advisories issued by the Indian mission.
