In some select cities in the USA, car companies have started self driven taxi services as a trial. These robotaxis work without any human intervention. In Austin, Texas, these taxis all of a sudden came on the same road creating a huge traffic jam in the city. A video of the incident is going viral where a huge number of robotaxis can be seen stuck on the road, confused about what to do next.
A large number of people were stuck on streets because of this machine error. The real cause of this incident is still unknown. However, a spokesperson from the cab company claimed that these cars had trouble navigating because of heavy foot and vehicle traffic. It has raised questions about how safe self-driving cars are and if we are even ready to allow them on the streets.
