A 19 year old girl from Tirupur, Tamil Nadu has filed a serious complaint in Bengaluru. She had been studying in the city and staying there for the past few months. The case has now drawn attention from local authorities.
According to her statement, she became friends with a man on Instagram. They reportedly met a few times before the incident. On February 14, he invited her to a late night party at a private villa, and she went there after he called her.
The girl told police that she was allegedly forced to consume a pink tablet. Soon after, she felt dizzy and extremely weak. She has alleged that two men sexually assaulted her while she was not fully conscious.
She further claimed that the accused threatened her and later left her near a mall. Due to fear, she did not approach the police immediately. After a few days, she sought medical assistance and informed her family about the incident.
A police case has now been registered and an investigation is underway. Officials are examining all aspects of the complaint. Reports suggest that one of the accused has also filed a counter complaint.
